On August 3, 2017, Chairman Pan Liang visited Hanergy Group at invitation. The CEO of Hanergy Huiyu New Energy Technology Co., Dr. Lu Tao hosted the reception to Chairman of Pan Liang and his party.

After watching the corporate video of Hanergy, Chairman Pan Liang visited Hanergy Technology Museum accompanied by Dr. Lu Tao, where the thin film photovoltaics technology of Hanergy deeply impressed the Hairong group. From the visit, the group realized the achievements of China’s science and technology enterprises on the world stage. China is no longer a traditional leading manufacturing power, but an outstanding technology power with world’s top-notch technology and talents.

After their visit to Hanergy Science Park, Hairong and Hanergy stated the panel discussion. On the panel, Chairman Pan praised the excellent achievements of Hanergy in the photovoltaic filed again; in the meantime, he pointed out that as a tropical country, Sri Lanka enjoyed abundant solar energy, at the same time, it is a tourism – oriented emerging and developing country; moreover, the President of Sri Lanka, Mr. Sirisena attaches great importance to the development of photovoltaic power generation industry. He expressed his hope that Hanergy could build the biggest and most influential Photovoltaic Industry Park in South Asia.

Dr. Lu Tao replied that Hanergy possessed the technology and patent advantages in photovoltaic field incomparable for other companies, and has obtained much attention from national science and technology departments; it was Hanergy’s responsibility to introduce China’s thin film photovoltaics to the world. He strongly agreed with Chairman Pan’s opinion—Sri Lanka was a country suitable for the development of photovoltaic power generation; by building a new type of photovoltaic production base, it could radiate the whole South Asia; it was thus of great and profound significance and was a response to the call of China’s “Belt and Road Initiative” policy as well. Hanergy will actively cooperate with Hairong, with Sri Lanka as the first stop of Hanergy’s overseas thin film photovoltaic production and with the strength of Hairong, to gradually promote thin film photovoltaics to the rest of the world.
